Mr. Sharkey has over 30 years’ experience in Marketing and Portfolio Development within the global medical device industry. Most recently Mr. Sharkey was with Vital Signs Inc., a GE Healthcare Company for 21 years where he held senior executive positions. He was instrumental with the acquisition of new products such as Enflow, a fluid warming product, and developed the marketing strategy which made it the fastest growing product in the company; and Disposaview, a head positioning product for patients under anesthesia. Mr Sharkey is also a pioneer in the development of environmentally friendly materials for disposable medical devices.
Mr. Sharkey also spent 11 years working at CR Bard where he developed and led the National Accounts Department, which managed a portfolio of products in excess of $100 million per year.
Through his career Mr. Sharkey’s focus has been in airway management, primarily single patient use anesthesia and respiratory products. He has held positions ranging from Director of Sales, Director of Marketing, Global Marketing Manager, and National Accounts Manager. His areas of expertise include strategy, product development, and portfolio management. Mr. Sharkey has long standing relationships with Group Purchasing Organizations, Integrated Delivery Networks, Healthcare Systems, Distributors and Vendors.
Mr. Sharkey holds a BS in Marketing from Niagara University.
