Mr. Easom has over 30 years of health care experience and is familiar with all aspects of the healthcare delivery system including Clinical, Hospital Operations, Home Healthcare, Medical Products, Equipment, Medical Device Manufacturing & Supply Chain, and Sales & Marketing.
Most recently Mr. Easom held the position of Executive Vice President of Global Business Development & International Operations with Vital Signs, Inc., a GE Healthcare Company. Mr. Easom’s responsibilities during his tenure included managing the Sales & Marketing staff, managing and directing all international activities with manufacturers & distributors, presiding over the R&D and New Product Opportunities Committees, and identifying and developing business opportunities for Vital Signs core and subsidiary businesses worldwide.
In addition, Mr. Easom was on the Board of Directors of two Vital Signs subsidiaries; Sleep Services of America a diagnostic sleep laboratory company with 80 locations, and Shenzhen Vital Signs KTL Medical Devices a Chinese manufacturing operation that was critical to the continued operations of Vital Signs.
Mr. Easom was instrumental in orchestrating the successful acquisition of Vital Signs by GE Healthcare helping to negotiate a 40% premium over the trading price. Before the GE transaction, Mr. Easom had engineered many successful acquisitions for Vital Signs such as Breas, Sleep Services of America, Southern Sleep Technologies, Baxter’s Airway Management Division, Enginivity, and Shenzhen KTL medical manufacturing in China to name a few.
Prior to joining Vital Signs, Mr. Easom held Senior VP positions with Foster Medical (Div. of Avon) & Glasrock Home Healthcare (Div. of BOC), both home medical equipment companies. He served as an Executive VP with Health Planning & Development, a strategic planning and business development company; and worked with Affinity Ventures, a Healthcare Merger & Acquisitions company. Preceding his entry into the medical business world Mr. Easom worked at 2 major Medical Centers in New Jersey, as a Respiratory Therapy clinician and later as a multi-department director/administrator.
Mr. Easom holds a BS and MBA from Montclair State University, and is a Degreed and Credentialed Respiratory Care Professional.
